November 2015 - Lake Wylie events and activities

11/5 Thursday  -    Allison Creek Bluegrass   , first and third Thursday of each month, corner of Hands Mill Road and Allison Creek Road.  Different bands are featured each night, along with open jam sessions.  Food is available beginning 6:30pm. 

11/14 Saturday  - Fall Horse Show at the     Ann Springs Close Greenway     in Fort Mill.  Check website link for details. 

11/17 Tuesday 8pm – John Love with the Doug Burns Big Band perform at the  Clover School District Auditorium  .  Legendary sounds of Frank Sinatra and the Count Basic Orchestra.

11/20-1/3  -  "Holiday Lights " at the     Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden    .  An outdoor display with more than 600,000 lights, carriage rides, carols, baked treats and more.

11/20 Friday 4:30pm  -      York "Fry Day" fish fry     , 35 S. Congress Street, parking lot of  PATH, a nonprofit agency assisting those in need in York.

11/20 - 1/10/16 - Outdoor  Ice Skating in Rock Hill  ?  Oh yes there is!  205 Saluda Street, just like in the "big city!"  Celebrate the holidays on ice at the Founders Holiday Ice Rink in downtown Rock Hill.

11/27 Friday  - "Walk off the Turkey," guided hike at the     Ann Springs Close Greenway     in Fort Mill.  Check website link for details. 

11/28 Saturday  - Winter Wonderland Craft Fair at the     Ann Springs Close Greenway     in Fort Mill.  Begins at 9am; check website link for additional details. 

11/28 Saturday 12pm - Candy Cane hunt at the     Ann Springs Close Greenway     in Fort Mill.  Santa Claus is rumored to attend!  Come roast marshmallows and make s'mores.  Pre-registration required; see website for details. 

11/30 Monday 5:30pm -    Belmont's Christmas tree Lighting Ceremony   , City Hall in Belmont.  Kick off your holiday season!

December 2015 - Lake Wylie events and activities

12/1 - 12/26 - Christmastown USA presented by the town of  McAddenville  .   2015 is the 60th anniversary year of this spectacular display, ranked as one of the top ten Christmas events in the whole country!  If you've never seen it, make it this year!

12/1 Tuesday 4pm -    Belmont's Christmas Parade   , Downtown Belmont. 

12/2 Wednesday 4:30pm  -     York Christmas parade    , beginning on South Congress St.  Proceeds from the parade go to PATH, a nonprofit agency assisting those in need in York.

Thursday 12/3-Sunday 12/6  -   "  Christmasville"    in downtown Rock Hill!  A charming holiday village and outdoor walking festival in Rock Hill's historic Old Town.  Events include the Reindeer Romp 5K, carriage rides, historic tours, carolers, theater, and much more!  Gingerbread House contest, with entries due 12/2!

12/3 Thursday 7pm -    Fort Mill Christmas tree lighting  , Confederate Park on Main Street.

12/3 Thursday 6:30pm  - Lake Wylie Chamber's    Annual Holiday Gala    held at the River Hills Country Club.  Reservations required!

12/4 Friday 4-7:30pm  - Kick off your holiday shopping with local vendors at the Merry Market at the Larne Building.   Sponsored by  Clover Chamber of Commerce  . 

12/4 Friday 6pm  - Official     Christmas tree lighting in downtown Clover  ! 

12/4 Friday 6:30pm -    Rock Hill Christmas parade   , themed "Light Up The Night."  Showcasing lighted floats, the parade route starts on Oakland Avenue at Winthrop University and travels downtown.

12/5 Saturday 11am -    Fort Mill Christmas parade   , lining up on Leroy Street and continuing to the Union Cemetery. 

12/5 Saturday 3pm  -  Cookies and cocoa with Santa at the    Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden  .  Register to attend.

12/5 Saturday 4pm-6pm  - Family fun day at the Clover Community Center, with crafts, games, and story time with Mrs. Claus.   Sponsored by  Clover Chamber of Commerce  .

12/6 Sunday 1pm and 3pm  -  "Traditional Holiday Tea" at the    Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden   .  Celebrate the traditional English way with tea in the garden.  Register online.

12/6 Sunday 3pm  -    Clover Christmas Parade  .  Kick off the Christmas season in style with an old fashion home town parade! 

12/5 Saturday 6pm -   Tega Cay Christmas Tree   lighting, Philip T. Glennon Community Center in Tega Cay.  Santa will be there!

12/10, 12/12, 12/13 -  Holiday concert by the SC state championship choir, the   Clover High Choraliers  .  Performances at 8pm on Thursday and Saturday, and Sunday matinee at 3pm.  If you've never heard the Choraliers, you'll be blown away by the talent in our community.  Purchase tickets early - - they SELL OUT!

12/11 Friday 6-9pm -    Belmont's Christmas Village   , Downtown Belmont. 

12/5 Saturday 3pm  -  Cookies and cocoa with Santa at the     Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden  .  Register to attend.

12/12 Saturday 6:30pm  - Annual    Lights on the Lake    holiday Lake Wylie Boat parade.  Boats will meet at T-Bones on the Lake to line up, and the route spans both sides of the Buster Boyd Bridge.  Best viewing is from the deck at T-Bones and the boat landing.

12/12-13 -  Annual Christmas in Olde York, presented by the    Yorkville Historical Society    .  Seven historic homes and buildings will be decorated and on display, with carriage rides and music. 

12/12 Saturday 3pm  -  Cookies and cocoa with Santa at the     Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden  .  Register to attend.

12/13 Sunday 3pm-5pm -  Holiday Wine paring at the    Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden   .  

12/15 Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm -   Tega Cay Christmas Lights   guided light tour.  See the best holiday light displays in the city of Tega Cay!

12/19 Saturday am -    Santa Claus tours the city of Tega Cay!    Watch for Santa in the fire truck, coming through Tega Cay!

12/31 Thursday 6pm - 9pm -  New Year's Eve "Sparkle and Glow" at the    Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden  .  A familly friendly event, with a luminary release and toast to the New Year.

12/31 Tuesday 8pm-1am  - Dance the night away to live music, and then enjoy the after midnight breakfast buffet. Purchase tickets in advance at    T-Bones on the Lake  .

2/18 Thursday 7pm – Family friendly night with Timmy, Susana, their puppets and antics at the   Clover School District Auditorium   .  

3/1 Tuesday 8pm – Frank D'Ambrosio, "The Phantom Unmasked," presented at the   Clover School District Auditorium   .  Songs from the star of the Broadway musical, Phantom of the Opera!

3/22 Thursday 8pm – The Young Irelanders bring modern day celtic music to the   Clover School District Auditorium   .  

4/12 Tuesday 8pm – The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra visits the   Clover School District Auditorium   .  Classical and pop selections!
