Saturdays, ongoing  - 10am -4pm, "Living History".     Historic Brattonsville  : witness life in the Carolina Backcountry during 18th and 19th centuries.  Activities and demonstrations vary weekly.

 

Every Sunday  - Free admission to  the   Museum of York County   .

 

1/1 Wednesday noon  - The annual New Year's Day Barefoot Challenge!  Lake Wylie's own   Carolina Show Ski Team   travels to Lake Norman to compete in this bone chilling competition.  Come and watch!

 

1/5 Thursday  -    Allison Creek Bluegrass  , first and third Thursday of each month, corner of Hands Mill Road and Allison Creek Road.  Different bands are featured each night, along with open jam sessions.  Food is available beginning 6:30pm .

  

1/10 Tuesday 8pm – Jeff Little Trio appears at the  Clover School District Auditorium .   Remarkable pianist playing rockabilly, blues, bluegrass and more!

 

1/24 Tuesday 7pm – Family night at the   Clover School District Auditorium .   Presenting "The Healing Force," a family of storytellers, singers and musicians!

 

February 2017 - Lake Wylie events and activities  

2/2 Thursday   -   Allison Creek Bluegrass  , first and third Thursday of each month, corner of Hands Mill Road and Allison Creek Road.  Different bands are featured each night, along with open jam sessions.  Food is available beginning 6:30pm.

 

2/10-12, Friday through Sunday The    Rock Hill Community Theater   presents The Miss Firecracker Contest . Set in the small Mississippi town of Brookhaven, a few days before the Fourth of July, the play tells the story of Carnelle Scott (known locally as "Miss Hot Tamale"), who is rehearsing furiously for the Miss Firecracker Contest.

 

2/11 Saturday - Frigid 5K Run & Plunge at the US National Whitewater Center     Warm up with a 5k run through the Whitewater Center trail system, then be among the first to cool down very quickly as you leap into the chilly waters of the brand new Deep Water Solo pool.

 

2/18 Saturday- The Suffers, rooted in the tradition of African American gospel music, the genre of soul will rock the Lowry Family Theater stageMcCelvey Center    in York

   

March 2015 - Lake Wylie Events

3 /11 Saturday  - Green River Revival at the  US National Whitewater Center   in Charlotte!  St. Patrick’s Day celebration with the 5K “Color Me Green” run, corn hole tournaments, live music and a Shamrock Green river!

3 /26 Saturday  - Peter Rabbit’s Garden Adventure at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden  .  Celebrate spring along with Peter and his family, including Mrs. Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail, of course.
