Saturdays 10-4 pm: Historic Brattonsville | Experience "Living History" and witness life in the Carolina Backcountry during the 18th and 19th centuries. Weekly activities and demonstrations vary.
Sundays: Museum of York County | Receive free admission.
Every second Tuesday of the month: Free concerts in Fewell Park in Rock Hill. Bring a picnic and a lawn chair. See for list of performers through August.
First and third Thursdays: Allison Creek Bluegrass | 5780 Allison Creek Road in York, located at the corner of Hands Mill Road and Allison Creek Road. Different bands are featured each night, along with open jam sessions. Food is available. Doors open at 6:00 and show begins at 7:00.
Thursdays and Saturdays: US National Whitewater Center in Charlotte kicks off "River Jam", live music performed regularly during the summer months. Every Thursday 7-10pm. See website for schedule and bands performing.
Weekends: Camp Canaan Zipline Canopy Tour | Take a zipline tour over the Catawba River. High flying adventure takes you through the treetops for a unique and thrilling perspective.
December 1-Friday 4-7:30pm - Kick off your holiday shopping with local vendors at the Merry Market at the Larne Building. Sponsored by Clover Chamber of Commerce
December 1 - Friday 6:30pm - Rock Hill Christmas parade, themed "Light Up The Night." Showcasing lighted floats, the parade route starts on Oakland Avenue at Winthrop University and travels downtown.
December 2 & 9 - Christmas Candlelight tours at Historic Brattonsville A Southern-style Backcountry Christmas comes to life during Historic Brattonsvilles annual Christmas Candlelight Tours. Through candlelit vignettes, costumed interpreters will recreate Christmas of the backcountry settlers in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will learn of old and new Christmas traditions. In addition to the candlelight tours, children of all ages will enjoy period hands-on activities and visits with Father Christmas.
December 1-26 - Christmastown USA presented by the town of McAddenville. Ranked as one of the top ten Christmas events in the whole country! If you've never seen it, make it this year!
December 2- Fort Mill Christmas Parade. Town Hall Street
December 3 - Sunday 3:00 pm Clover Christmas Parade . Kick off the Christmas season in style with an old fashion home town parade!
December 3- Sunday 1pm and 3pm "Traditional Holiday Tea" at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Celebrate the traditional English way with tea in the garden. Register online.
December 5 -Tuesday 3:30 pm - Belmont's Christmas Parade, Downtown Belmont.
December 6- Wednesday 4:30pm York Christmas parade, beginning on South Congress St. Proceeds from the parade go to PATH, a nonprofit agency assisting those in need in York.
December 9 & 10 - Annual Christmas in Olde York, presented by the Yorkville Historical Society. Seven historic homes and buildings will be decorated and on display, with carriage rides and music.
December 9 & 10 - Saturday & Sunday 2-5pm: Clover Womens' Club Historic Home Tour. See the historic homes of Clover, dressed up for the holidays!
December 10 - Sunday 3pm-5pm - Holiday Wine paring at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
December 16 - Saturday 10-12pm Bring the kids and enjoy donuts with Santa. Celebrate the season with ballon artist, holiday music, craft with Santas helpers and much more! at River Gate
December 16 - Saturday 7 pm- Annual Lights on the Lake holiday Lake Wylie Boat parade. Boats will meet at T-Bones on the Lake to line up, and the route spans both sides of the Buster Boyd Bridge. Best viewing is from the deck at T-Bones and the boat landing.
December 31 - 5pm - 9pm - New Year's Eve "Sparkle and Glow" at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. A familly friendly event, with a luminary release and toast to the New Year.
January 1- Monday 11:30 -The annual New Year's Day Barefoot Challenge! Lake Wylie's own Carolina Show Ski Team travels to Lake Norman to compete in this bone chilling competition. Come and watch!
January 1 - Monday 11:00- Hair of the Dog Hike at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Kick off the New Year with a refreshing guided Garden hike on New Years day!
January 11 -Thursday 8pm - Clover School District Auditorium Performing Arts Series features The Four Freshman. Four part harmony with a splash of swing and a whole lot of fun!
January 13 - Saturday - 10am -4pm, "Hog Butchering Day". Historic Brattonsville: witness the process of butchering meat and learn how the early settlers preserved and smoked it. Now that's something you won't see in New York City!
January 20- Saturday 7:30 McCelvey Center in York presents Nikki Lane, South Carolina upstate native and the 'First Lady of Outlaw Country', captivates audiences with her impressive lyrics, unbridled nature, and retro-glam flair.
January 23 - Tuesday 7pm -Clover School District Auditorium Performing Arts Series features Family Night XIX: Soap Bubble Circus. Be amazed by a variety of bubble tricks and sculptures.
February 8 - Thursday 8pm - "Country Legends". Twelve musicians, singers and dancers bringing phenomenal fiddling, fancy footwork and top-flight vocals to this toe-tapping, adrenaline pumping, memory churning celbration of country music. performing at the Clover School District Auditorium.
February 10 - Saturday 9:00 Fridge 5K Run and Plunge- Get your feet and heart racing as you take the plunge in the Fridge 5K
February 15 - Thursday 7pm - The Children's Theater of Charlotte presents the delightfully funny story of Mr. Popper's Penguins at the Clover School District Auditorium.
February 17- Saturday 7:30- "The Steel Wheels" at McCelvey Center in York. Piping harmonies, lyrical poetry-based lyrics, and rootys string band style.
February 24 - Saturday 8pm - Come see Puddingstone, a musical time machine, blending sounds from medieval to modern with shades of Folk, Classical, Renaissance, Sacred, New Age,and Celtic collections at the Clover School District Auditorium. Great entertainment as part of the Performing Arts series for the community, hosted by the CSDA.
